OUR EARLY STAGE INVESTMENTS APPROACH
Sergi Enterprises looks to provide seed, early stage, and start-up funding for companies, businesses and ideas across a variety of industries and geographic areas. We strategically look for opportunities in which we feel we can be of immediate value to the underlying asset. Our purpose is to directly increase equity and return on investment through our involvement. Currently our appetite is for companies that have a high probability of achieving at least one or more of the following:
- Immediate and exceptional growth
- Early liquidity events
- Sustainable cash flow
- Lower risk basis
Due diligence and a decision to invest is based initially on a number of factors including but not limited to:
- Prior & current (when applicable) success of management team (should be demonstrable)
- Feasibility of business plan and financial activities (funding inquiries should include an executive summary and reviewed financials including performa)
- Current market conditions (including size, current market share, competition, etc)
- Product or service protections (specifically any barriers to entry for competition)
- Probability of obtaining any necessary funding
- Scalability/sustainability of project
- Any regulatory oversight (now or in the future)
- liquidity events and exit strategy
Finally, Sergi Enterprises will look at the level of requested investment and involvement from an operational, management and incubation perspective.
